Union County College has launched an honors program aimed at attracting the county’s brightest students and giving them the inside track toward transfer to the top universities across the country and the Garden State.
During a Dec. 3 meeting of the Board of Trustees, the college approved a partnership with Quad Learning Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based education company that owns and operates the American Honors program.
Says Union County College President Margaret McMenamin, “The American Honors program builds on Union’s rich heritage of preparing transfer-minded students for success. We have a strong, talented and dedicated faculty that understands how to teach all students–from those who come to us academically unprepared for college to those who have excelled in high school. Union’s American Honors program will provide personalized advising for motivated students and will open doors to some of the nation’s best universities.”
