The Senior Manager or Director of Marketing is responsible for driving marketing strategies and tactics to support both International (80%) and Domestic Student Recruitment (20%). The Senior Manager or Director of Marketing is responsible for working closely with our in-country Recruiting staff, our Field staff in the U.S., and the Marketing/Outreach teams at our Partner Schools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive agent recruitment, education & support tools
- Support the recruitment and activation of agents across multiple geographies through the development of collateral and training tools,
Develop materials and online tools/content to communicate and differentiate our various programs and schools/partners
Develop and implement agent engagement strategies such as newsletters, promotional support campaigns, etc.
Increase in-country awareness of our student service offerings across all constituents (primary parents and students but also the agent market and other key influencers)
Develop key brand assets including end-user collateral and local websites
Create content for content marketing and social media, and implement across key channels
Assist in country staff with marketing plan and marketing execution
Provide in-country event support through email campaigns, social media, and other channels
- Interface and develop relationships with the Marketing and Outreach teams at our partners
- Support the recruitment of Domestic students through assisting in the planning and execution of local events (i.e. Info Sessions), updating our collateral, and handling our organic social media.
Skills & Experience
5 to 10 years work experience in Marketing with some experience in Higher Education
(Preferably) experience with a US or International Pathway or ESL provider, or higher ed institution involved in the recruitment of international students
Experience working centrally to support the varying needs of multiple regions/geographies or Field units, tailoring strategies and tactics accordingly.
Highly driven and self-motivated individual
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
Strong team player
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and analytical skills
Strong collaboration skills across multiple departments
Position is based in Washington, DC.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required. 5-10-years of business experience, preferably in higher education. Ideal experience would include experience with pathway providers or other organizations that works closely with international students or in higher education
Language Skills: This position requires the ability to read, write, analyze and interpret complex instructions, correspondence, legal documents, financial reports and/or technical documents. This position also requires the ability to respond effectively to clients, employees and management and handle sensitive and/or confidential communications. This position requires a high level of skill in both oral and written communication and the ability to effectively present ideas and information.
Travel: Some international travel is required. Travel estimate approx 25%.
